The Center for Climate and Environmental Health examines the profound connections between our changing climate, environment, and human health. Through innovative research, education, communication, and collaboration with community and civic partners, we work to:

  • Understand and predict health threats from climate change, extreme weather, and environmental pollution
  • Implement scalable action-oriented solutions
  • Educate and empower the next generation of climate-literate scholars across all disciplines

Our first initiative, FORECAST (Forecasting Health Outcomes through Research, Education, Climate Action, and Sustainability for Texas), is part of the Burroughs Wellcome Climate + Health Excellence Center with our consortium partners Baylor College of Medicine and the University of Texas School of Public Health.
